Now GROWING: Lepechinia hastata

SAPPHIRE BLUE SKIES ARE LIKE THE OCEAN WITH CLOUD ISLANDS DURING THESE EARLY DAYS OF AUTUMN. We are between seasons when the alst of the summer lfowers make a spectacular show, and the golden days are just beginning.

As the light dulls and temperatures chill, it is a signal to the natural world that it is almost time to rest.

Down in the salvia garden at the Gardens at Heather Farm, Lepechinia hastata is blooming, its mauve flowers set against the rather large, soft gray-green leaves.
